SUMMARY:One Culture exhibition Amsterdam (NL)\, part 1
DESCRIPTION:During the Keti Koti Festival in Amsterdam Southeast\, four neighbourhood community centres will host a series of local One Culture exhibitions that invite visitors to reflect on freedom\, identity\, belonging and shared histories. Each exhibition\, organized by Quiosq\, will be presented in a different neighbourhood\, creating opportunities for residents to engage with the themes of Keti Koti close to home and within their own community. \nThe exhibitions are part of a broader effort to stimulate dialogue between people from different backgrounds and generations. Through personal stories\, thought-provoking questions and visual materials\, visitors are encouraged to reflect on the continuing impact of slavery\, colonial history and contemporary issues of inclusion and diversity. Rather than presenting fixed answers\, the exhibitions aim to create conversations and mutual understanding. \nBy bringing the exhibitions to four different community locations\, the festival seeks to reach a wide and diverse audience\, including people who may not normally visit museums or cultural institutions. Together\, the four exhibitions form a decentralised cultural programme that connects neighbourhoods across Amsterdam Southeast and contributes to the spirit of remembrance\, celebration and dialogue that lies at the heart of Keti Koti.
